Democratic Party Precinct 16 Chairwoman
Resides in Frankfort, Indiana

Neri Santos
Neri Santos is a budding progressive activist who grew up in Frankfort. She’s a proud first-generation student and certified medical assistant. While in the medical field, she’s witnessed first hand the struggles that Clinton County faces, from lack of access to health insurance, to a variety of chronic health issues and mental health struggles. She believes these issues stem from a government that doesn’t prioritize the health of its people.
To her, healthcare is a right. At a broader level, just as with healthcare, she understands many of the issues present in our society could be alleviated by investing in programs that improve the quality of life for everyday people.
Seeing the lack of Democratic representation in Clinton County, she decided to run for Precinct 16 chair and as a convention delegate. She believes a strong grassroots effort will lead us to the type of office holders that are antithetical to those of the Trump administration, office holders that will protect public programs and put their constituents first.
As Precinct 16 chair, she hopes to encourage members in her community to get involved, get informed, and to vote for authentic, well-meaning candidates. More than anything, however, she wants residents to know that advocacy can be big or small, and that they don’t have to be an expert to make a difference.
